Hand thrown stone ware pot with lid
Hand thrown stoneware lidded pot, glazed with shiny white with Celadon glaze by Potter Jane Canning, a student at Bristol Folk House
The pot is glazed inside and out with shiny white. Celadon glaze (green) is layered on to give a petal pattern. The lid is decorated with underglaze colours. The design is inspired by the shape and colours of passion flowers. The broad base and significant weight means the pot is very stable. It would make a lovely container for homemade sweet mincemeat or pickled pears as there is a good closure on the lid.
